Wishing We Last Forever (但愿人长久)

苏轼 Su Shi is a Chinese poet, calligrapher and writer of the Song dynasty. One of his poems 水调歌头 [shuǐ diào gē tóu] is well-known in China, linked to the Mid-Autumn festival 中秋节 (or Moon Festival). Sung amongst others by 邓丽君 Teresa Teng and 王菲 Wang Fei (Faye Wong) with the title 但愿人长久 (Dan yuan ren chang jiu) these verses are symbolic of familial gathering, people coming together to gaze at –what is said to be– the fullest and most beautiful moon...

— « You know, I feel a bit ashamed to ask you that, after all the time we have known each other… Try as best as I can, I can’t remember your first name… » — « (…embarrassed) And for when do you want the answer ? » This is one of the drawing I drew for the special edition of the weekly le PI, edition of the « Vieux Com(battant)s »[1]. In the same vein, you can see the cover and another drawing. ^ a disrespectful manner to address the former generation of students,...
