Equinox Update

Well, it has been some time I have not refreshed this site. Not that it matters much anyway, as visitors are scarce :)

Actually, apart from the fact that I did not have much time recently to draw or to write, I got some troubles with the software I use to paint, which was constantly crashing ; so in utter frustration, I stopped for a while.
In a sense, it was interesting to try to get back to the basics of simpler softwares, but completely drying out the meager inspiration of the moment. Hopefully, in the meantime, I received the August issue of ImagineFX, with great tutorials by Linda Bergkvist ; and that was a fortunate motivation to pursue.

Then, after a session working on an old sketch, and unable to bring it to something more aesthetically pleasing, I closed everything, and scribbled on a new canvas with the last color I had selected.
It was a shade of green, and spreading the bucket on the canvas, I realized this is not really a colour I favour for an atmosphere, but after all, it can only improve then!

And I scribble, and scribble, and am about to close everything when I notice an interesting shape. And here is the start for this last picture.

I feel there is a story to come with it, but still embryonic for now.

[October, 1st edit] You can now read and comment the story

Till then, I leave you with a quick video of the process. I particularly appreciate to find something new each time I look at that picture…
